Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop Technique Card with Charming Cafe

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. The Design Team have been busy making projects inspired by our Technique theme. The team are from all over Australia who have all created amazing projects to share with us tonight. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite technique is?
I'm sharing the REVERSE MASKING technique with this beautiful Charming Cafe Bundle.

To achieve the REVERSE MASKING effect cut desired shape from a scrap piece of paper. Here I have cut one the same size as my Very Vanilla panel (3-3/4" x5-1/2"). Then I added a thin layer of glue to the inner edge, and allowed it to dry. Once dried, it's still tacky to touch. Lay this over your stamping panel & sponge the background. I used my ink pads (So Saffron, Peach Parfait & Blushing Bride) & sponges. When you're happy with the colouring remove the mask and finish off with more stamping.
I stamped in the background window in Blushing Bride, the over the top in black I stamped the Cafe scene & the floral frame. I added colour with my Alcohol Stampin Blends - Light Dafodil Delight, Light Pink Pirouette & Light Pumpkin Pie
If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board!

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope that you'll join us again next month to see our new DSP Catalogue favourite. I'm Carolina and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next.

  1. What an effective technique. I love the aged look it gives this card that suits the image perfectly.
